New to Willaston Village at Penny Family Farm
1 Hour Alpaca Walking Experience
Come and join us on a relaxing alpaca walk through the countryside.
Our nature walk is over flat grassland with plenty of wildlife to be seen.
On arrival you will get to meet our lovely Male Alpacas.
We will have a talk through a few safety details before heading out with the boys.
This will be a guided walk so there will be plenty of time to ask any questions. Photos can be taken throughout.
Once we are back from our walk you will have the chance to feed your Alpaca their yummy treats.
You will also get to meet our Female Alpacas, Hens, baby chicks and goats.

Wirral Alpacas is a small family run business located in the serene village of Willaston on the Wirral. Our Alpacas love socialising and trekking.
With some of our girls expecting Crias soon you may even get to meet some newborn Alpacas while visiting.

FAQ's
What if the weather is bad?
The alpacas will usually be happy to have an amble with us over the field on the farm but in really bad weather they're not so keen and so we will just spend a little longer in their stable or shelter if this is the case.
Do alpacas spit?
Alpacas very rarely spit at people. They do sometimes fall out with each other, usually when they are being fed and then they might spit at each other.
What temperament do alpacas have?
They are very gentle animals and behave in a very gentle manner. They are also very curious. However they can be easily spooked so we try to speak and act calmly around them at all times which helps them to feel safe and calm.
Do they like to be cuddled?
Although they look very cuddly they don't always appreciate a cuddle. Most like a stroke on their necks when done calmly.
When do you walk the alpacas?
We update the availability on the booking calendar regularly so please browse to see the times available in the upcoming weeks. If you don't see a time which is suitable for you then you are welcome to get in touch and we will do our best to facilitate your request.
Where do you walk?
Our alpaca walking field is located in Willaston Village.
Can children walk the alpacas?
Minimum age for a child to walk their own alpaca is 8 years old.
What shall I wear?
Sturdy footwear, wellies or boots in the wet as the fields can be muddy. Clothes suitable for the weather conditions.
